Rutgers engineers took first place in a scalable computer competition at an IEEE symposium after demonstrating their supercomputer cloud computing environment--which they controlled using an iPad. Meanwhile, I managed to stay focused in separate games of Words With Friends, so to each his own, I say.

According to Joshua "Top o' the Mornin'" Topolsky, Apple will unveil an iPad 2 sequel later this fall with a screen featuring double the resolution of Apple's current tablet. Apple marketing is still working out what to call the rumored iPad HD's display, but I'm rooting for "Fly Eye Retina Display."
