Major events to mark Philippines ICT Month

Titus Manuel, PCS director-in-charge of the 11th ICT Professionals Congress, said the leading telecommunications companies and major solutions providers for handheld, cell phones and portables in multiple industries are expected to participate in the event.

For those looking for a job, the '24/7 Forum and Job Expo' will be held on June 13 to 17 at the Eastwood City Cyberpark. The expo is a five-day career building, networking, job matching, and hiring conference that will be conducted by leading business process outsourcing (BPO) service providers in the country.

Nathan C. Zulueta, president of the QCCCI Foundation and the private sector chairman of ICT Month 2006, said job seekers will be able to learn the necessary skills and training needed by the industry workforce by attending the expo.

More than 10,000 cyberjobs will be at stake at the expo that has as its theme 'eJobs: Link Up and Get Hired.' Likewise, thousands of PGMA Scholarship Training Certificates on ICT will be awarded to pre-qualified and assessed applicants for eventual hiring.
