For example, a 6.1Mbit PowerPoint slide with one text change would usually mean the entire file would have to be backed up; now DeltaBlock identifies the actual change, compresses the entire file to 21K and backs up the change, and files in 14 seconds using wireless."

The system uses 128-bit AES encryption, end to end. EMC has provided the storage area network, Telstra the network as well as the data center and US-based Iron Mountain provided the DeltaBlock and SendOnce software.

Pricing is based on a 2GB storage plan for a PC or laptop at A$27.50 (US$19.49) a month, including GST. The 100GB server-based plan costs A$456.50 a month including GST.
