"With the opening of our third data center we will continue to capitalize on the fully managed and co-location market - a strategy that has already proved successful with our data center in Johannesburg, which opened in August last year," adds Wencke.

Hetzner's second data center situated in Gallo Manor, Johannesburg has reached 70 percent capacity since it opened, he says.

"Driven by the proliferation of IP-based applications such as VOIP, as well as content-rich Web sites and businesses exchanging large amounts of data, the growth rate for Hetzner's co-location services has doubled in 2006, and is expected to experience continued growth into 2007," concludes Wencke.
