30.08.2012
Sales of Samsungs Galaxy S III smartphone have increased following Apples manufacturer in a patent infringement case.

Customers appear to have rushed out to buy the Galaxy S III, with some stores running out of stock of the smartphone, according to a report from Global Equities Research.

According to a survey of 16 retailers conducted by Trip Chowdhry, the managing director for equity research at Global Equities, two Costco stores were sold out of Galaxy S III phones that run on the AT&T and T-Mobile networks, another sold out all its AT&T models and two out of three Sprint stores were sold out.

Three Verizon stores still had the smartphone, Chowdhry said, but the retailers reported that the Samsung device had been outselling the iPhone during the month.

All five AT&T stores polled said they saw "significant" sales of Samsungs device in the first few days after the verdict.
