Sgt. Pepper coming to Beatles Rock Band next week

14.11.2009
After bringing to last month, MTV Games and Harmonix are bringing another one of the fab four's classic albums to their newly-released game next week. This time around, it's the Beatles' innovative concept album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."

Due out on the Xbox 360 and Wii next Tuesday, and on the PS3 next Thursday, the DLC will include eight new tracks--four Sgt. Pepper songs are on the retail release already--that will sell for $2 each. The tracks will also be sold together for $13.49 on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The previously-included Sgt. Pepper songs are notable in that each has its own custom-created "dreamscape" level. Due to the fact that The Beatles rarely preformed live in their later years, Harmonix included levels with dynamic visuals inspired by the lyrics of songs from their last few albums. While (Joystiq) have indicated that new dreamscapes will be created for DLC, we have sent out a query to Harmonix about the Sgt. Pepper tracks, since the press release below doesn't indicate the presence of them.

The pack includes the songs "Fixing A Hole," "She's Leaving Home," "Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite!," "Within You Without You," "When I'm Sixty-Four," "Lovely Rita," "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)" and "A Day In The Life." The Sgt. Pepper tracks already available in The Beatles: Rock Band are "With A Little Help From My Friends," "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds," "Getting Better," and "Good Morning Good Morning."
