Rockstar makes iPhone debut with Beaterator

With the company's wares and PSP, it should come as no surprise that Rockstar is now looking to Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch as potential new gaming platforms. The company announced that its first official game for the iPhone and iPod Touch, the Timbaland-headlined music-creation title Beaterator, has released today for $4.99.

At 1/8th the price of , Beaterator for the iPhone and iPod Touch obviously won't be a straight port of the version that appeared on Sony's platform. In the release announcement, Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser said "The entire application has been revamped to provide an extremely accessible and innovative experience for iPhone and iPod touch owners."
