Remains of the Day: Walk the walk, talk the talk

Environmental activists want Apple to clean up its cloud act, Cupertino wants to silence Siri complainers, and a noted screenwriter gets ready to put words in Steve Jobs’s mouth. The remainders for Wednesday, May 16, 2012 are all out of bubblegum.

The Greenpeace folks are at it again. This time, two activists from the organization barricaded themselves in outside 1 Infinite Loop, in order to protest Apple’s usage of coal to power its data centers. They were removed, but not before bloggers around the world had already spread rumors of Apple’s new prototype space capsule.

Apple’s attempting to have a judge dismiss a smattering of lawsuits claiming that Siri . Cupertino’s lawyers argued in a filing that the complaining customers could have just returned their phones, but didn’t. One of the customers reportedly retorted that that was only because he couldn’t get Siri to direct him to the nearest Apple Store.
