Since the relaunch, realcommercial.com.au has experienced 43 percent growth from Dec. 2006 to Jan. 2007. For the 12 months from Jan 06 to Jan 07, realcommercial.com.au experienced a 24 percent increase in growth. Last month it also brought in 77,154 unique browsers to the site - a new milestone for the Web site.

The last time the site was redesigned was in 2002, said Vulovic.

Like the old site, the new one is totally built with open-source software. It runs the Apache Web server on top of Linux, with all the listings housed in a MySQL database. The site was built using mod_perl.

"It is highly optimized for what we need to do," she said.

All up the realcommercial.com.au site - both the old and new version - has had zero downtime in the past year, said Vulovic.
