Moving Wi-Fi complexity into the cloud

30.10.2009

Thirty of Aerohive's AP-120s would cost $20,670 ($689 each). The company would collect either $1,800 or $3,300 per year in service fees, depending on whether you wanted very simple policy configuration tools ($60 per AP per year) or more granular, flexible tools ($110 per AP per year).

Both the Meraki and Aerohive SaaSs include software updates, support and maintenance.

On a related note, I'd like to ask your help in gathering information about enterprise trends in Wi-Fi networking. If you work in wireless IT, please take the short 6th annual Webtorials Wireless LAN State-of-the-Market survey  As thanks, you'll receive a sneak preview of the results!
