Murali Ramanathan, VP of Advanced Projects at ProcSys said, "Embedded and communications platforms in emerging markets such as India have unique requirements in terms of form factor, modularity and availability. The India Design House program has proven to be a great way to collaborate and help companies like ProcSys develop innovative designs. Proof of that is today's embedded handheld appliance reference design which I am proud to showcase."

The embedded security reference design is meant for customers developing an automated security surveillance system for use in SMB settings. The reference design enables the creation of a high-performance, cost effective security device with motion detection, left item detection and virtual fencing.

"Inforce is uniquely positioned in India as a supplier of off-the-shelf Atom based products with its Benedict line of embedded platforms targeted at handheld solutions for verticals such as warehousing & distribution, micro-finance, healthcare etc. It is exciting to partner with Intel on the Atom which addresses the needs of this nascent and growing embedded devices market in India and is committed to designing products based on next generation Atom processors" said Jagat Acharya, CEO of Inforce Computing.

In India both ProcSys and Inforce Computing now offer small form factor designs based on Intel Atom processor for embedded applications.
