Hitachi currently has about 950 IT consultants, most of them in the U.S. and Japan. The Tokyo-based company didn't disclose a breakdown of where it plans to add employees.

Turbolinux India Pte. will be based in Gurgaon, India. It's slated to open in April, and its workforce is expected to total about 15 people by the end of its first year of operations.
