Fujitsu expands portfolio with Supply Chain acquisition

19.06.2009

The move is expected to generate additional SAP income for both companies, with consolidated IT, communications solutions, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) products. Already, Fujitsu amassed US$53 billion in consolidated revenues in 2008.

Fujitsu also added that this acquisition, which was completed late April, centers on the capabilities and reputation of its people. It will bring this high value expertise across various markets in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia -- including the Philippines.

This expanded offering can prove essential with the focus areas Fujitsu is targeting locally. In a recent luncheon with the local media, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand managing director for Asia, Jan Biezepol, pointed at conglomerates and the government as two strong focus areas in the Philippines.
