From Dust Violates DRM Agreement, Users Demand Refunds

Although Ubisoft previously said that DRM protection for their recently released "god game" would only require an Internet connection for one-time activation on PC, it turns out that you need to be online for every start up session. As result of outrage from PC users, Steam is reportedly offering a full refund for everyone who bought a copy of the game. Ubisoft has since acknowledged the "confusion" around the DRM terms, clarifying that users do not need to maintain an Internet signal during play.

Despite an earlier promise not to include such a DRM scheme in the delayed PC release of From Dust, reports that the recently released single-player game does check for an internet connection when launched (a fact that has been confirmed by Gamasutra).
