CA WORLD - CA develops new strategy for EMEA

21.11.2005

According to a press release issued at the EMEA press conference, a focus on simplifying complexity, and offering better customer value in a commoditized market, will see the implementation of a plan to substantially increase the ratio of customer-facing CA employees over the next two years.

'We are also unleashing the value delivered by the people and technologies that have come to CA through recent acquisitions, such as Concord, Netegrity and Niku. In so doing, we are able to provide CIOs with complete, unified solutions that address their most pressing IT management challenges,' Dutton said.

New focus and new strategy was the essence of Dutton's speech at CA World, in which he said that local operations would be re-structured and streamlined with five new business units, simplified geographic regions and a strengthened EMEA central management team.

Gary Lawrence, CA Africa MD, says that the region is already well on its way to implementing the new strategy.

'The centralized marketing and business units are letting us focus on key business drivers for our customers. In the past, each country was responsible for its own marketing operations, but now we have centralized messaging and a unified focus throughout the region. We are not going to re-invent the wheel,' Lawrence concludes.
