BioWare officially announces Mass Effect 2 for 2010

Though we've heard leaks and seen trailers, BioWare made it official Tuesday. They are making Mass Effect 2, and it's not coming this year.

While the game has been on the tongues of many gamers for months, due to the recently released trailer as well as the upcoming level-building seminar at next week's Game Developer's conference, BioWare made the existence of Mass Effect 2 official with a press release this morning. In the announcement, the company confirmed an Early 2010 release date, echoing the words of EA's CEO, John Riccitiello, who revealed as much last month in an earnings report.
