Illingworth added that APAC is a very mature market for BI. He said Singapore and Australia, for example, present very large opportunities that Oracle will be taking advantage of with its business intelligence suite. The company will also aim at other APAC countries as well.

The Oracle Business Intelligence Suite is an open, standards-based software BI suite that unites Oracle BI middleware with Siebel Business Analytics. 'Now with Siebel Business Analytics in our BI suite, the opportunity is so big. It's going to change how CIOs manage their information,' said Nick Evered, senior vice-president for technology sales in APAC.

The Oracle BI suite is 'hot-pluggable' into existing operating systems and features three editions: the Enterprise Edition for enterprise customers; the Standard Edition which offers pre-integrated BI infrastructure software and tools for an Oracle environment; and the Oracle BI suite Standard Edition-1 designed for small to medium businesses.
