You can also access a Top Weekly Artist Chart to find out who's hot and who's not, and take advantage of a new Friends Radio function that creates mixes of the music that your friends have been listening to on their Last.fm accounts.

The app has also added a local events section that can recommend shows and concerts in your area, with access to maps of the venues. And the search function also has some new abilities, including the addition of artist biographies with all sorts of interesting and obscure bits of trivia, and the ability to move through and view similar artists during your search.
