Ingate Systems, which develops firewall technology and products that aim to enable SIP-based live communication for the enterprise, while maintaining control and security at the network edge, intends to expand its sales reach into South Africa and other African countries through a distributor agreement with i-Security.

The partnership aims to extend Ingate's footprint into SA by bringing the company's SIP-enabling security products to enterprise and government customers.

The sole local distributor of Ingate Firewall and Ingate SIParator products, i-Security is a security and access infrastructure company focused on wired and wireless network and Internet security and optimization.

"Network security and optimization is of great importance to SA organizations," says Jeremy Miller, CEO of i-Security. "As a result of our partnership with Ingate, i-Security now offers SA customers world-class products that deliver controlled and secure VOIP to any network of any size."

"We expect i-Security to add value to the Ingate products through its technical expertise in networking and security," says Olle Westerberg, CEO, Ingate Systems.

The Ingate Firewalls and SIParators (devices that connect to an existing network firewall to seamlessly enable SIP communications) aim to offer businesses flexibility combined with complete support for SIP-based IP communications, such as VOIP.
