Powering the software is an integrated Ajax framework with a CSS and JavaScript front-end as an application client, an Ajax object library, Data Services library and back-end Server Services.

The pack also features a plug-in called 4D Live Window that allows developers to integrate existing 4D data with live Internet data into a mash-ups which could feature text, data, or media files such as jpg, PDF, Flash, and QuickTime video.

The software is being sold direct from the developer at A$895 (US$705) with six months' worth of free upgrades. Additional subscriptions are available for 12 months at $375. Members of the 4D Partner Program qualify for a discount.
