Dan_Tynan: What is really needed is tech training for TEACHERS. 90% of the teachers I've dealt with do not have a clue. They're scared of technology.

Jeff_Doyle: I think tech training is pretty good in our schools. What's needed is a decent liberal arts education.

Dan_Tynan: I disagree with Jeff. I have two kids in elementary/middle school. I live in a small city, but I doubt it's much different elsewhere. The kids know more about technology than the teachers or most of their parents.

Jamey_Heary: The tech training quality depends on your location. We need to encourage young kids to pursue engineering disciplines. We need to make that cool, like in India and China today.
