30.06.2006

When asked what the Philippines should do to project a good image, 75 percent of respondents said it must undertake a public relations program; 68 percent of them said the country should participate in international trade shows; and 65 percent cited a need for better presence in the Internet.

Also 60 percent recommended the conduct of more industry conferences, while 43 percent suggested advertisement in major trade publications, and 25 percent advised advertisement in major newspapers and magazines.

Mitch Locsin, BPA/P's executive director, reported that the government and private sector are working together in coming up with 'communications' initiatives to strengthen the positive image of the Philippines in general, and its attractiveness as a BPO hub.
