In a new with South African technology site TechCentral, Wozniak said: "Part of me wishes Apple has not been so arrogant and feeling like "We're the only one with the right clue." I wish they had made a wider version [of the iPhone 5]."

The new iPhone has a 4in display which is the same width as the iPhone 4S display, but has grown in height. Apple claims that it made the decision to increase the size of the iPhone's display in this way to ensure that users could still reach all points of the display with one thumb, as shown in the 'Thumb' TV ad made by the company.

"I think Apple tricked itself by saying: 'Oh, you can reach everything with one thumb'," he continued. "I don't see anybody having trouble using the larger screen. But Apple said that as a defensive move because everyone else had larger screens."
