Apple is . Well, it's been a while since we've heard that sentiment. It was "technology expert" Paul Hochman, speaking at the Forward with Ford Futuring and Trends Conference, who uttered this pronouncement. Hochman's reasoning is that Apple's closed system has condemned it to failure--but don't worry, Hochman's got a great counter-example: Ford. Whose name you might recognize as No offense, but if Apple was going to take a page from someone's playbook, I'm not sure I'd point to the American auto industry.
