Philippine trade group sees SMBs, BPO driving IT sales

Global and local industry leaders make up COMDDAP, which provide computer hardware, peripherals, software and related business solutions as well as local IT products and services to the market. Formed in 1986, the group has organized socio-civic projects involving computer trainings and donations and some 30 trade shows in Manila, Cebu, Davao, and other major cities in the country.

Chua, chairman of Jupiter Systems, Inc., heads COMDDAP's 2006-2007 board of officers with Salvador L. Lastrilla, president of JTJ Trading, Inc., vice president; Randy M. Kanapi, marketing head of Epson Philippines Corp., secretary; Ann Margaret C. Ngui, sales manager of Goldtech International Distributors, Inc., treasurer.

Directors are Irene L. Chua, vice president of Wordtext Systems, Inc.; Ruther S. Ng, vice president of Phil-Data Business Systems, Inc.; Jefferson T. Plaza, general manager of Advance Solutions, Inc.; Vincent T. Sanchez, senior manager of Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc.; and Wesley Ngo, senior vice president of Astech Pengson, immediate past president.

COMDDAP will hold the eighth edition of its biennial ICT exhibit and selling show in the Visayas with 'I.T.'s happening in COMDDAP Cebu 2006!' from June 22-24, 2006 at SM City Cebu Trade Hall as part of this year's National ICT Month and Cebu Business Month.
