Mapa believes college graduates today already possess the knowledge and skills required to perform cyberservices jobs manually but would need to be trained in more 'automated' tasks in fields like accounting, business processing, and project analysis.

Thus, he said it is imperative that students in colleges and universities should already learn the basics of using business software like ERP (enterprise resource planning) and human resource applications.

Mapa also stressed the need to change today's academic curriculum to make it more relevant to today's technology-driven workforce environment.
