I wonder how much of the iMac, iPhone and iPad designs are straight from the genius mind of Steve Jobs (beautifully brought to life by design guru Jonathan Ive). I would love to have been a fly on the wall when Jobs first imparted to Ive, and the rest of the Apple team, his vision for each of these "magical" devices.

Since hearing this week's news, though, I've been stuck on two disheartening thoughts: a) I'll probably never get to interview him -- a personal goal of mine, and b) the world will never get to sit on the edge of our seats again as he unveils the next "have-to-have" device.

I'm hoping that as Jobs continues to valiantly battle his health problems, from time to time he grabs a stack of napkins, flips them over, and furiously sketches out innovations we can enjoy in the years to come.
