The fight continued and got more and more ridiculous with each Burst attack until Asura caught Augus' blade for a second time, which promptly extended into space with Asura on the end of it, all the way down to Earth. Augus then stabbed Asura through the chest with such force that it pierced the entire planet. I promise I'm not making any of this up. Sadly, the demo ended shortly after with a cliffhanger. Capcom seems fond of the episodic cliffhanger approach at the moment, as Resident Evil: Revelations for 3DS also takes the same angle on storytelling, albeit with less planet-stabbing.

I came out of the Asura's Wrath demo honestly not having a clue what to think. I wanted to be offended by the sheer gratuitous, "in your face," obnoxious nature of the whole thing but actually ended up rather liking it despite my better judgement. If nothing else, it certainly looks like it's going to be as much fun to watch as it is to play, and makes Bayonetta's motorcycle ride into space look like the most normal thing in the world.
