The university's annual 'Enterprising Women' event aims to inspire and motivate girls to consider a wide range of career possibilities, including in IT.

The event will allow girls aged between 14 and 16 from local schools and colleges to meet successful business women and learn about how their careers progressed from school to where they are now.

The university's Widening Participation Team is looking for women in technology who would be happy to be interviewed by groups of 10 or 15 students on their career paths. They will also need to sit on a business panel to answer questions from the students.

Last year, more than 150 girls aged 14 to 16 from local schools and colleges attended the event. Previous guest speakers include Annette Browne, trading director of women's wear at Marks & Spencer and Helen Pattison, founder of Montezuma's Chocolate.

Enterprising Women will take place on 16 November at the Bognor Regis campus at the University of Chichester. Registration will start at 9.30am with a business breakfast, and presentations are scheduled to take place between 10am and 12.30pm.
