Those claims strongly suggest the company pirated one of its own game soundtracks in the process of pulling together special music tracks dispatched to users who pre-ordered the upcoming digital deluxe edition of stealth game Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Posting to reddit, a user the soundtrack files had been uploaded for pre-order customers to download early, but noticed "something strange about the soundtrack" after probing the track tag info.

Namely that the user listed as encoding nearly all of the tracks is actually a well known Internet pirate.

The picture below tells the tale. Note the user listed in the comment field, "Encoded by arsa13." For those who've never encoded a music file before, the comment field's an optional way for someone to identify the person responsible for encoding the music files from a given format (disc or digital).

Now do a simple search on that name, and you'll come up with a bunch of links to torrent sites--sites that also link to other files (and soundtracks) pirated by the same user.
