Cobain will presumably only appear when the player chooses one of two Nirvana tracks--"Smells Like Teen Spirit" and a live recording of "Lithium. It's worth noting that Cobain is the only member of the band that appears to be in the game--bassist Krist Novoselic and drummer Dave Grohl do not appear to be backing Cobain in the media shown thus far.
