Juniper taps Microsoft sales exec for partnerships

Juniper this week named a former sales executive to spearhead its alliance strategy.

Gerri Elliott, a Microsoft vice president overseeing sales to public-sector organizations, was tapped to become Juniper’s executive vice president of strategic alliances. She will report to , who also jumped to Juniper from Microsoft. 

Elliott is responsible for . At Microsoft, she managed a staff of 2,000 as the company’s corporate vice president, worldwide public sector. She also helped establish a vertical market sales structure for Microsoft’s North American operations.

Prior to Microsoft, Elliott spent 22 years at IBM.
