The company's Malaysia country manager, Wan Kamal, said the new range -- Intelligent Services Edge - would extend the architectural integrity of its JUNOS® software and Juniper's advanced M- and MX-series platforms.

Kamal said that these advancements would allow intelligent convergence at the edge, while speeding deployment of new services and reduce operational costs and complexity.

Power of one

He added that Intelligent Services Edge leverages a single, consistent operating system and high-performance hardware to flexibly deliver many service types--including broadband routing, voice, multimedia and integrated security, as well as application-level awareness.

"Service providers and enterprises will be able to use these new enhancements to fuel revenue growth and operational efficiencies," he said. "JUNOS software is the company's network operating system and is the industry's only network operating system delivering the Power of One: one software release train, one modular architecture and one operating system across multiple routing, switching and security platforms."
