Last year the HKICC was held concurrently with a major IT trade show: Asia Pacific IT Solutions Expo. Run by events firm Adsale, the Asia IT Expo is one of the largest technology trade shows in Hong Kong.

This year Adsale have decided not to hold the expo, possibly the result of increasing difficulties in generating support for large technology trade shows in the territory with events in China garnering much greater interest. But Lee does not see this having any adverse effect on this year's HKICC and expects it to be just as successful as in past years.

The conference takes place on November 23 and 24 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
