The webmaster further notes that ESDLife's Mac support extends only to IE and Netscape, with no Firefox or Safari support, and suggests that the Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau enlist independent accessibility/usability consultants to provide feedback and testing before sites go live. I certainly agree yet am also in shock that the government didn't consider taking action a little earlier.

In any case the revamped, reclaimed ESDLife site is slated for relaunch by middle of 2006, until then we're stuck with a clunky site that, in this editor's opinion, has completely failed to bridge the "digital divide" government officials used to love to talk about.
