Galaxy Victory LTE smartphone goes on sale Sunday for $100

Sprint announced the Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE will go on sale Sunday for $99.99 after rebate with a two-year service agreement.

The 4.0 smartphone features a 4-in. 480 x 800 display, a Qualcomm MSM8960 Lite 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, Wallet with near-field communications, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera.

Sprint marketed the phone as "affordable, yet fully loaded" for first-time Android smartphone users, with the advantage of Sprint's $80-a-month unlimited data, texting and calling plans.

The carrier this week announced it will have 100 more cities on LTE in the coming months, in addition to 19 cities already launched. Most LTE networks are 10 times faster than 3G, with more than 10 Mbps download speeds.

The Galaxy Victory is 4.8 in. x 2.5 in. x 0.5 in. and weighs 4.9 ounces. The battery is 2100 mAh , for up to nine hours of talk time. It comes with 1 GB of memory and 4GB of , which can be expanded with the addition of a 32 GB memory card in its microSD slot.
