Bank customer data gets lost in transit

People's Bank in Bridgeport, Conn., has reported that a computer tape containing personal data on 90,000 customers was recently lost in transit. The tape contains the names, addresses, Social Security numbers and checking account numbers of those customers. It was bound for the TransUnion LLC credit-reporting bureau in Woodlyn, Pa., via United Parcel Service Inc. UPS wouldn't say when the tape was lost.
