To reduce latency and boost return on investment, the Indonesian Ministry of National Education (DIKNAS) has chosen a Juniper Networks solution.

DIKNAS head of network division, Khalid Mustafa, said the school network, which is the largest wide area network (WAN) in the country, suffered from traffic latency and wasted bandwidth.

Mustafa said the Juniper solution, consisting of Networks WXC Integrated Services Module (ISM) 200 with J2300 Services Routers, had improved network application response time and eliminated wasted bandwidth for 1,140 connected schools.

Maximising ROI

"Juniper delivers unmatched functional integration of application acceleration with secure routing on a single platform, which enables us to deploy applications and services more quickly to our constituents," said Mustafa. "We are maximising our ROI in addition to network traffic performance. Our IT staff is also more productive, with less management overhead, allowing us to use our applications to create a real competitive advantage."

Juniper Networks Malaysia country manager Wan Ahmad Kamal said: "The WXC ISM 200 is highly effective and consistent in widely distributed networks for increasing productivity while reducing complexity and costs. This empowers educational organisations such as DIKNAS to quickly scale a broad range of applications and deliver quality education to the next generation of learners."
