Engin has launched two dedicated VOIP business plans in an attempt to solidify its position in the small business market. The Business 50 plan provides businesses with A20 cents per minute fixed-line to mobile calls, international calls from 3.5 cents a minute and 450 free local and national calls (additional calls at 10 cents untimed), for a A$50 monthly service fee.

Under the Business 20 plan, businesses get 100 included local and national calls, 23 cents per minute fixed-line to mobile calls and international calls from 3.5 cents per minute, for a $20 monthly service fee.

"Our rates are just as competitive, if not more competitive than what big business can negotiate with the major telcos," said engin marketing director, Kelvin Kirk. "We think these new plans will consolidate our position within the business community."

Kirk said the new plans came as a result of the company's regular customer surveys that indicated the importance of its business clientele. "Forty-five percent of our customer base has consistently been business and so we wanted to make ourselves even more attractive to the business sector," he said. engin is also in the process of partnering with a number of integrators and PBX manufacturers to offer coupled packages of engin's services and vendor hardware, Kirk said.
