Das Interesse an BlackBerrys neuem Smartphone Passport war seit der ersten Ankündigung sehr groß. Kein Wunder, seit Apples erstem iPhone gab es kaum ein Smartphone, das mal wieder anders aussieht und sich somit vom Rest abhebt.
BlackBerry Passport ist fast so breit wie hoch, der quadratische Bildschirm mit der Auflösung von 1440 x 1440 Pixel wird am unteren Ende durch eine dreizeilige echte Tastatur erweitert. Die drei Zeilen ergänzt der Bildschirm je nach Bedarf durch zusätzliche Tasten. Auch lässt sich die physikalische Tastatur als Touchpad benutzen - das klingt alles innovativ.
Doch dieser Ansatz alleine reicht noch nicht, damit die US-Medien zu einem positiven Fazit kommen:
