The small desktop app, when running, sits quietly and unobtrusively next to the clock in your Windows OS, and when you need to upload an image online or take a screenshot, it jumps into action. You can then choose from one of two main functions, uploading images or taking a screenshot.
Screenshots are fairly straightforward. You can either take a screenshot of the entire monitor screen or just a selected area. The quality of the screenshot is first-class, and you have the option of editing the screenshot before saving it.
Uploading images is just as easy. You can either press the "browse" button and go to the location on your computer where the image is located, or you can drag and drop the images onto the Hyperdesktop app (a much easier method). The images will then be uploaded to Imgur and you will be provided with the URL's of their location on the site.
After downloading the app for the first time, you should go to its options and set your preferences. One important preference is whether you want your uploaded images to be immediately opened in your browser once they are in Imgur. You can also specify hotkeys to launch Hyperdesktop from your keyboard, and finally if you have an FTP server, you can enter the credentials for the images to be sent there, instead of Imgur.
The simplicity of Hyperdesktop is that it works, as advertised. There's no steep learning curve, no instruction manual, no huge amount of complicated options to work through.
Being a small portable app, Hyperdesktop memory footprint is very small to the point of negligible. After a while, you'll wonder how you managed to cope without it.
