24.03.2012
The third-generation iPad is still front-and-center in the minds of accessory manufacturers, but that doesn't mean those of us with older iPads must take a back seat. In fact, several of the cases and bags covered this week will even work with Apple's first-generation iPad.

The (iPad 3; $50) is a durable and sleek folio that can be used to prop up your tablet for viewing or typing, thanks to a fold-up front cover compatible with the iPad's magnetic wake/sleep feature. The case comes in black with a soft interior; the package also includes a complimentary anti-glare, fingerprint-resistant screen protector.

The company has a compatible with the third-generation iPad, including the all-new (iPad 3; $40), a folio-like case with a hardshell back cover that protects your tablet from shock and scratches, while the front portion folds back to double as a viewing or typing stand. The (iPad 2 and iPad 3; $27) is an upcoming screen protector that, according to the company, features an improved oleophobic coating designed to protect the iPad's screen from fingerprints and other oily coatings, providing a crystal-clear viewing experience even after repeated use. The silicone-glue based adhesive backing is safe for your tablet's screen, reusable, and easily removed.

The company produces a (iPad, iPad 2, and iPad 3; €79 to €89) in a variety of themes and designs that vary from the trendy to the decidedly quirky--including some new meat-inspired models that would definitely make Lady Gaga proud. The cases are made entirely out of material-coated canvas and 100-percent wool felt.

The (iPad 2 and iPad 3; $90) is a clever twist on the Smart Cover concept, using thin panels of solid wood to create a front cover that rolls up and acts as a typing or viewing stand. Like Apple's Smart Cover, it attaches to your iPad using a magnetic latch and is compatible with the magnetic sleep/wake feature. The Cover Mk2 comes in cherry, maple, walnut, oak, smoked oak, or mahogany.

The (iPad 3; $80) is a folio-style case that can be used to prop up your iPad in a viewing or typing position. It also includes room for a notepad and comes with an extra pocket to carry additional documents and papers. Its stylish but elegant design combines a red, synthetic, patent leather with a high-tech black shell.

The (iPad 3; $59) is a faux-leather case that provides a complete protective experience for your iPad. A sturdy, zipper closure keeps your tablet safe during transport, while strategically-placed tabs lift to prop up the iPad for viewing or typing. The case is available in black.

Designed for people on the go, it's available in red, black, or black with a green accent.

The (iPad, iPad 2, and iPad 3; $179) is a bag that would make one Dr. Jones happy.
