Remains of the Day: Return of the Woz

08.04.2011
Steve Wozniak talks rejoining Apple, one site is the alpha and omega of its own rumor, and here's an instructional tip for those of you confused about your iPad 2's Smart Cover. These are the remainders for Friday, April 8, 2011 of which the prophecies foretold!

Batten down the hatches! Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak told Reuters he'd consider returning to Apple, in an interview which also saw him talking about how he'd prefer the company to be a little more "open." CrunchGear "broke" a story that Best Buy personnel were telling customers that they were out of iPad 2 units when in fact they'd just reached a daily sales quota. But wait, what's this? Is that an e-mail that purports to be from Apple COO Tim Cook, saying that he wasn't aware of any units being held at Best Buy stores? It is! So. Uh. Yeah. Is there anything better than a site squashing rumors it started?

Just in case you've been having trouble folding your Smart Cover properly, take a gander at this old-timey video how-to. I give it one thumb up for retro appeal, one thumb down for a decided lack of handlebar mustaches and damsels tied to railroad tracks.
