Fact: Monkeys love iPhones. And we've got the video footage to prove it. Elsewhere, one blogger finds an unexpected Apple knock-off in China, and Google shuts down a service that's not Google Wave. The remainders for Wednesday, July 20, 2011 are too busy singing to put anybody down.

As if it weren't enough to find , now some industrious folks around the world have copied an entire Apple Store, right down to the blue t-shirts and name tags. Maybe it's all part of an elaborate long con in which they...uh...give people Apple products for reasonable prices. Look, I didn't say it was a con.

No they're not starting some sort of Robin Hood crusade. What Google is doing, however, is shutting down Google Labs. Labs was a testing ground for new features and prototypes, and many of those will either be incorporated into other products or simply retired. Great. Like the economy isn't enough trouble without flooding the market with sad, unemployed Google Mad Scientists.

A colorful chart tracing the major design changes in Apple's product lines, going all the way back to 1976's Apple I. Hey, I notice my terrible, horrible, no good, very bad is nowhere to be found--

- Apple has updated its Remote Desktop client and server to bring support for screen sharing in Lion, and improves stability. Client update available via Software Update or Apple downloads site; server update available via Software Update or Mac App Store.

- FileMaker's personal database software has been updated for compatibility with Lion and to provide bug fixes. Update is available to current users on the Mac App Store for free; new users can purchase Bento on the Mac App Store or for $50.
