OnLive, the company that streams the full Windows experience directly to your computer, has apparently come to terms with Microsoft . OnLive is now providing its customers with a virtual install of Windows Server 2008, instead of Windows 7, which is believed to be due to licensing restrictions. Well, that's better than the alternative reputedly offered by Microsoft, where OnLive pays users in order to stream Windows Millennium Edition to them.

I wondered why the leaves at the bottom of my morning tea looked like a one and a five. Must be because supplies of the 15-inch MacBook Pro are supposedly running short at Apple Stores. AppleInsider suggests that the shortage means new 15-inch models are en route, possibly using Intel's new Ivy Bridge chips. I say it's far more likely that Apple is discontinuing the 15-inch MacBook Pro because the iPad is so successful.

Whoops! Apple asked a Russian domain name registrar to take down a server supposedly being used by the Flashback malware; unfortunately, the site in question was actually a "sinkhole server" being run by Dr. Web, the Russian-based security firm that first uncovered Flashback's botnet. To make matters worse, Dr. Web's CEO claims that Apple never responded when he first reached out to the company about the threat. To be fair, I'd think twice before responding to a security firm run by too.
