AIIA announces new board of directors

18.11.2005
The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) has announced a new board of directors for the year ahead following its annual general meeting in Brisbane Thursday.

The board of 16 directors is chaired by Kaz CEO Peter Kazacos, deputy chairman is David Bohn and John Stockbridge was re-elected treasurer.

Kazacos said the unprecedented growth within AIIA and renewed dialogue with government made it an exciting time to take up the mantle of chairman.

"ICT represents 5.9 percent of Australia's GDP, more than the mining and the agriculture sectors, and, depending on the industry sector, underpins between one third and three quarters of productivity growth," he said.

AIIA CEO Rob Durie said the board continues to reflect a strong mix of Australia's ICT industry including local SMEs, multinationals and the telco sector. Directors include:
