Wii wins Feb sales, Wii Fit, Street Fighter top games

is reporting that NPD has released its sales figures for the month of February 2009. As they've been doing just about every month, Nintendo has topped both the hardware and software charts. The and stood as the number one and two selling systems, respectively, followed by the , with Sony bringing up the rear with the , , and respectively.

On the software side, claimed another month at the top as the top selling single-console game, though sold more copies when the game's multiple console releases were combined. , despite coming out the day before the end of February, sold well enough to rank fourth, slightly below the unstoppable force known as . The hardware and software rankings are below.

NPD HARDWARE SALES:

1- Wii - 753,000

2- Nintendo DS - 588,000

3- Xbox 360 - 391,000
