The system captures the results of a student's entire academic life.

The VCAA, which is a statutory authority that reports directly to the Minister for Education and Training, develops curriculum for all Victorian schools, assesses student learning, and conducts research to develop innovative educational programs.

Tata's Australia-New Zealand General Manager Rick Marmur said the software application, from SAS, will deliver a unified view of student and school performances.

"This will allow the VCAA to provide information that can be used to enhance education in Victorian schools in the future," he said.

Tata will have up to 10 software developers at the Authority's office and others in the TCS global development center.
