The Arabian desert is a vast, sandy wilderness spanning eight countries and occupying most of the Arabian peninsula. It's also serves as the central setting for Naughty Dog's upcoming sequel . The treasure-hunting, Indiana Jones and his archeological exploits-inspired title sees protagonist Nathan Drake and his mentor Victor Sullivan traveling around the world in search of the Iram of the Pilars -- a legendary lost city on the Arabian Peninsula, considered by some to be the "Atlantis of the Sands."

A Russian artist by the name of has decided to blend her unique talents with the iconic imagery of Uncharted. Specializing in the manipulation of sand, her artistic medium for the last five years, Netselya has developed a unique technique -- a process of sand "painting", with the progress of each image captured by a video camera. Instead of a painting or photograph, where the image is intended to last in a frame on the wall, her art is captured only momentarily as she pours, splashes, and sifts through sand on a lit backdrop.

Using the granular setting of Uncharted 3 as inspiration, Natalya has "painted" several scenes from Drake's Deception, showcasing both her talent and attention to detail. Speaking to the EU , she's quoted as saying, "I hope you enjoy watching me bring [these familiar signs] to life in the sand."
