If you're unfamiliar with what PAX stands for, it's the Penny Arcade Expo, a convention started by the creators of the popular Web comic. Our Mike Keller spent some time at the expo last weekend in Boston, and reported on the interactive-platform games, keynote speaker , an exhibit hall packed with gadgets and gizmos, as well as the non-stop playing of Rock Band, Mario, and any other game imaginable.
Due out later this month, details on AMD's Phenom II chips have been leaked. Not only running at 3.5 GHz in Turbo mode, these chips will have six cores and draw 125 watts, meaning they're probably designed for high-end gaming machines. AMD neither confirmed nor denied the details from the leak, so stay tuned for the actual release of these chips later this month and we'll see how their specs match up with the rumors.
